Damn that liberal media!
Dec. 1st, 2004 12:12 amOnce again they are revealing their immoral liberal agenda by banning a religious advertisement on the grounds that it is "too controversial".
I'm glad Bush is here to stop these abuses of the public trust. Who is going to teach CBS and NBC not to fuck with our freedom of speech? Bush will save us! Go Bush!

WTF?!
Date: 2004-11-30 09:53 pm (UTC)No wait, I'm not. CBS can carry a show whose themes include transgenders, furries, and BDSM and allows that show to be somewhat explicit in doing so, but this ad is controversial?! I want to know exactly who made that decision. I want them to die. Slowly. And painfully.
That the networks are afraid of the wrath of other churches for the ad making them look bad is quite telling. I'm not xian, but I would be very tempted to attend a UCC service... well, maybe once. Hooray for the UCC!

And yes, they need to be whacked with a polearm.
Just the highest rated show on broadcast TV.

Date: 2004-12-02 05:33 am (UTC)It's hard not to, if you have the TV on. There's only what, 30 or 40 different CSI shows and sundry spin-offs/clones?
Bruckheimer is laughing all the way to the bank, methinks, but it still better mindless entertainment than any of those vacuous Survivor types.
What, even Gilligan's Island?!
