if someone on UF would call on DesertRat66 to explain why he still quotes material from Rush Limbaugh to support his political points. Yeah, and if DR66 has the balls to respond, smack the hell out of him with this. That'd be nice.

It won't be the same doing it here, since he made his humanitarian appeal over there. Yeah, the same thing he is weeping for is being ridiculed by one of his icons. Still, his blind faith in conservativism won't let him see the evil.

Of course, I know it's not going to happen, because UF is emasculated. When someone posts something incredibly stupid, you aren't allowed to call them on it. It was such a great place once.

Now that you've clarified I can answer. It was meant in general. If you saw the way that DR66 demonized me for pointing out his logical fallacy, then you'd realize just how big a grudge he can carry.

In general, DR66 often cites Limbaugh as defense against liberal complaints about Bush. Now, if he is not blinded by faith in his party loyalty, he must realize that the man he uses for defense (however lame those uses were) is actually belittling another concern that DR66 holds very dear.

And if he is consistent, DR66 will denounce Rush's latest comment and demonize him. Well, that actually wouldn't be consistent, since he'd actually be correct this time.

Somebody really should rub DR's nose in it. If you were to go back thru the previous year and find all the political argument threads where he took part, you'd see an amazing number of places where he ran away from the arguments when the facts were stacked up against him. That number would be in the hundreds, I believe.

Your thread alone has at least 3 places where he ran away. Note that this was after he managed to drag his favorite scapegoat Bill Clinton into the argument.

Honestly, the thought of him going into politics would scare me if I didn't already know that he is only as bad as most other conservative (and some liberal) politicians. Just another drop in the political dishonesty bucket, rather than a splash.

Yeah, they both tend to redirect. I kept not letting them today, because it's not about Clinton. Think the "Repeat then...now...." ticked him off? That's when he quit. It wasn't my intent, but rather it was to reiterate that he was changing the subject, but oh well....

And about the mods reading, do you think that someone emailed Kickstart and complained that you were over here trying to make trouble on the board, and I was being complicit? It's making me wonder....

I was being sarcastic, though. I don't really think Kickstart is going to use this stuff against anyone, or else I'd point him to some other people's LJ's and there'd be a few disablings made permanent, and a few more disablings.

I specifically asked if they were going to use offsite discussions against the UFies, but they never answered that one, so I don't know if they ignored it or never saw it.

Never saw it....otherwise I would have said emphatically 'NO'. I strongly believe people are free to say what they want (well, within legalality and within the rules of the virtual or real locations they say them).

Ah no...I was just checking this LiveJournal because what Naruki says interests me.

I do get people who email me to keep me informed on stuff. No one has ever sent Naruki's LJ to me, though a few other LJs have been sent (including one that clearly has a bit of a vendetta against me).
