As of 5PM tomorrow, I am officially no longer employed.

Unofficially, I was let go around 10:30AM today, along with 200+ other members of my corporation, some of whom have been working there for over 20 years.

So now I'm digging around trying to find my old resume and blow the dust off of it. Blech.

I've got at least three folk willing to give me a good reference, despite corporate policy. Heh. Go team!

And I am hoping to reach a relative that works in a nearby city. He might be able to squeeze me in. Hopefully I'll have good news soon, as I only get paid through the end of the year. Merry fucking Christmas. :-)

I am -so- sorry to read this latest bit of news from you and I think this sucks hairy monkey toes in a big way. I'm late commenting because I haven't been online much at all lately but I wanted to let you know that I'm reading your updates when I have a chance to sneak online and now I'm sending you a lot of juicy "new fantastic job" vibes, or at least "mediocre job that pays the bills" vibes. ;)

Otherwise, I may get to see how well I can do in Japan sooner than I expected. That is going to be one heck of a mess, especially trying to dispose of all my stuff prior to leaving. Ah, well.

That's the cool thing about knowing people online . . . they can move to the ends of the Earth and not be gone.
