King Bed - 4350550067 (Ends Jan-20-05 20:04:18 PST) - 11 Piece King Size HPL Maple Heritage Bedroom Set

Going thru my comics, I noticed I have one of many different first issues of The Tick. The problem is that I can't figure out which one, and even if I could find a price guide I won't know what mine could potentially be worth. Dang it. I took some pictures of a few of my comics, but I don't really know where to post them. Suggestions?

You do know that a little pre-advertising would have insured the bed sold at a high bid, doncha? ;)

I have to go get ready for a party (nairelated legs and all) but will peruse the goods when I get back. :)

Damn. I can have genuine Naruki-owned stuff? :-P

He he he. Don't worry, you wouldn't have to take the sheets, and the mattress is stain free.

We have a queen size futon/couch, too, but I can't guarantee it's stainless. ;-p

We've got other stuff not listed yet, like a big green computer desk, 32" Toshiba TV, 27" Sharp TV, Microwave oven, whole bunch of other kitchen stuff, sofa, 2 entertainment centers (1 cheap and 1 cherry wood), CD rack, paper shredder, games, computer games, etc. Hey, I think I found some Monsoon computer speakers stowed away in a box, too.

Too much stuff to list, and I've got no place to do a yard sale (where all the stuff too cheap to bother listing would still find a happy home). *sigh*

Nope.

If I had a clue about eBay, I'd probably be listing stuff myself.

Well, if I weren't so lazy, too.

Plus, the heavy items don't ship well - it's best for locals who don't mind coming up to the 3rd floor apartment. With big muscles.

(and the quality is still damn good on some of this stuff), is that I'm basically dumping the last vestiges of my past. I thought the purge when I moved from Georgia was bad, but this is much more painful.

I've got a huge collection of Playboy that I inherited from my previous roommate that I kept on the off chance that collecters might care some day. Being a "collecter-phobe", though, means I will probably wind up just dumping it in the bin. Two big boxes full. Heh. He had a long running subscription, I think, and then one day he "saw the light" and had to get rid of it. I've only even looked at a half dozen of the things, too. I'm just positive that someone wants this, but who?

And I have to figure out what comics I have and what I can do with them. They aren't in anything like mint condition, though, so I won't hold out much hope.

Depends.. I'll take anything as long as it's still readable, f.ex.

That's a lot of porn, dude.

I was talking about the comics. Am not much of a porn person.

Assuming they make it, will do.

I just found some old records with Gremlins characters on them. I don't even remember ever seeing those things, let alone getting them. They're small records, too, and look like some sort of promotional thing. Now to scan thru all the comics...

Some of those things are probably worth quite a bit. That sleigh bed set for example. Have you tried talking to local antique dealers? You might be able to sell it through them or via auctioneers. Same with that prayer stick thing. Often auctioneers will also give an apprasial letter with it verifying it's authenticity which will also help you get more money for them.

The sleigh bed + mattress...

cost us over $3000, so I'm kind of surprised that nobody bid on it at the ridiculously low starting price (the two end tables were $300 apiece). We bought them new, so I don't know that an antique dealer would care much. My biggest issue is that I can't remove it from the apartment (we had professional movers bring it up). Well, that and not having anywhere to remove it to. Heh.

What prayer stick thing?

Might be interested in the chess set, but would I can't be bothered to pay for shipping. Where in MA would you be, when you are finally there, I might be able to arrange a pickup.

If ebay doesn't work, you can always try listing the items on Craigslist. They do have a Providence one and there's also the Boston one.

Well the furnature looks very well made and trust me there are modern seighbed sets that are crappy workmanship. Looking at it I thought it may be an antique one by the stain colour and workmans ship I saw on the tables in the set.

The prayer stick thing was under a few of the other listings as other things the seller had to offer.

Here is the link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6147812615&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcN__Stores)

Put up a Craigslist ad last night.

When I move up to Mass, I'll be 2 miles from New Hampshire, on the beach. The frozen beach. My car is missing right now from all the snow. ;-)

I'll let you know if I've still got the chess set by then.

Oh.

I see, it says prayer sick, not stick. I was looking for something that looked like a tree branch. ;-)

Naw, that's not mine. He sells a lot of stuff on eBay. What's funny is that he and his wife used to work at the same company that just laid me off, but they quit 5 years ago to do other things.

Why don't you dump the Playboy collection in a

Salvation Army collection bin? You could get a good laugh imagining either the horrified looks or the guilty pleasured looks on the faces of those who came to pick up the lot.

I'm surprised you're not trying to sell those on eBay. You might get a decent chunk of change for them.
From: [identity profile] naruki-oni.livejournal.com
Heh. Embarrassment, mostly. I don't have the patience to deal with eBay shipping and stuff, and it's a bit embarrassing to hand them to the trading assistant and say "get me my money, bitch".
